BREAKING: Tom Emmer Drops Out of Speaker Race! Conservatives Win!

US

Tom Emmer has dropped out of the Speaker’s race in a huge win for conservatives.

Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News was the first to break the story.

Jim Hoft reported earlier today that the House Republicans nominated former Soros-funded group spokesman Tom Emmer (RINO-MN) as their candidate for Speaker, once again spitting in the conservative movement’s face.

He managed to prevail after five rounds by a 20-vote margin over runner-up Mike Johnson of Louisiana.

Following the vote, the House GOP held a roll call vote in conference to determine whether Emmer would have the votes to prevail on the House floor. The Minnesota RINO specifically asked for one.

26 Republicans voted no. Now Emmer has caved and fallen on his sword.

One could argue President Trump deserves credit for this development. As Cristina Laila reported, Trump blasted Emmer in a Truth Social post and then sent it to House Republicans via text.

The race now opens back up. Newsmax reports that Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK) have jumped back in the race for Speaker. Conservative favorite Byron Donalds (R-FL) has also thrown his hat back in the ring.

All would be upgrades over uber-RINO Emmer, especially Donalds.

This a breaking news story and will be updated.
