Although it happened back in 2017, Dave Rubin thinks there’s still much to glean from the time Tucker Carlson trapped Adam Schiff in a blatant lie.
“Let me just ask you one final question,” Tucker said. “Can you look right into the camera and say, ‘I know for a fact the government of Vladimir Putin was behind the hacks of John Podesta’s email?”’
“Absolutely,” answered Schiff confidently. “The government of Vladimir Putin was behind the hacks of our institution and the dumping of information…”
“Of John Podesta’s email?” interrupted Tucker.
But Schiff just continued to drone on without actually answering the question.
“You’re a sitting member of Congress on the Intel Committee, and you can’t say they hacked [Podesta’s email],” retorts Tucker, clearly angry at Schiff’s refusal to be forthcoming. “You’re being duplicitous. I’m asking you, did they hack Podesta’s emails, and you can’t say it,” he railed.
“You’re carrying water for the Kremlin” was Schiff’s pathetic response.
But Tucker wasn’t derailed by his red herring insult.
“One last time, Congressman — look in the camera and say they hacked John Podesta’s emails, we know for a fact that Putin’s government did that,” Tucker jabs. “You can’t, and you know you can’t, and you’re hiding behind weasel words.”
“I’m not going to be specific as to those emails,” said Schiff.
“Oh because you don’t know it,” Tucker fired back. “All right, done. You don’t know it, and you’re alleging it without any evidence.”
“If you’re going to make a serious allegation about an actual country with an actual government, you ought to know what you’re talking about, and you don’t,” he admonishes, effectively ending the conversation.
Not only is their heated debate an excellent lesson in how to completely destroy a lying politician, it’s also incredibly ironic.
“That’s Schiff back in 2017 saying that Tucker was carrying water for the Russians,” says Dave.
“Now, flash forward to 2023 when Tucker is basically the loudest anti-war person that we have.”
