Dehumanizing! MSNBC’s Jen Psaki Compares Unborn Babies to Broccoli, Lumps of Coal

News & Politics

On Sunday’s edition of Inside with Jen Psaki, the former Biden press secretary mocked a Republican strategy session where pollsters suggested the term “pro-life” isn’t helping the GOP, so they suggested the term “pro-baby” instead. This spurred Psaki to compare babies to….broccoli and a lump of coal.

“I hate to break it to you, but if you call broccoli ‘candy,’ it’s still just broccoli. If you tie a really nice bow around a lump of coal, it is still coal under there.”

And to think it’s terribly dehumanizing to call a biological male “he” and “his.” Apparently, comparing a baby to broccoli and lumps of coal is good, swaggering comedy. Democrats have suggested abortion is about a “choice,” not a child. The act of abortion is far more dehumanizing than language.

“The branding isn’t the problem here! The policy is the problem,” Psaki insisted. “It is hard to roll out an effective rebrand for a product that customers hate.”

The “product” is saving babies from the Planned Parenthood slaughterhouse. Democrats get piles of money and logistical support from the slaughterhouse operators.

Psaki was touting an NBCNews.com story which underlined Psaki was doing the usual DNC messaging. The headline was “Democrats say Republican effort to rebrand ‘pro-life’ won’t persuade voters.” This story, based on anonymous Senate Republicans, contained all the Democrat arguments that Psaki made in this segment.

WASHINGTON — Democrats and aligned groups on Friday criticized a new shift from Republicans to move away from “pro-life” messaging on abortion to boost their electoral prospects after a series of election losses when reproductive rights were on the ballot.

“It’s not really the phrase that’s the issue here,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer posted on X in response to NBC News’ exclusive reporting detailing the GOP-led effort….

Democrats quickly piled onto the news, with members of Congress, pro-abortion organizations, and the Biden administration accusing GOP politicians of being hypocritical in their stance on abortion.

“If congressional Republicans are now interested in ‘pro baby policies,’ they should stop opposing @POTUS’s budget,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates posted to X, pointing to the president’s budget proposal to increase child care options.

This, of course, can be turned around. If Democrats had “pro-baby” policies, they wouldn’t advocate killing them by the millions.
