NYT Propagandist Smears Tucker Carlson, ‘Jesus Is Out, Putin Is In’

The New York Times wrote yet another hit piece against former Fox News host and conservative media superstar Tucker Carlson for his performance moderating a Q&A session for the 2024 Republican presidential candidates at the Family Leadership conference in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday. The article smearing Carlson was written by Jonathan Weisman in which he falsely accused him of worshiping Russian president Vladimir Putin over Jesus Christ.

In the article titled “Tucker Carlson Turns a Christian Presidential Forum Into a Putin Showcase” Weisman wastes no ink getting to the point: “Bob Vander Plaats, the conservative evangelical kingmaker in Iowa politics, now knows what happens when you turn over your Republican presidential showcase to Tucker Carlson. Jesus is out. Vladimir V. Putin is in.”

Since Weisman lives in his liberal bubble and apparently doesn’t realize that conservative voters can worry about more than one issue at once suggested that Carlson asking about the war in Ukraine instead of abortion was somehow off topic. “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine became the dominant issue of debate, on a day when Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa used the event to sign a near-total abortion ban into law,” Weisman whined.

The left wing activist disguised as a New York Times columnist then relayed some of the heated exchanges between many of the candidates like former Vice President Mike Pence, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott.

“The Family Leadership Summit was supposed to be a showcase of Christian values, where social issues like abortion and transgender rights were expected to be center stage,” Weisman said, adding that “by making Mr. Carlson something of a master of ceremonies, Mr. Vander Plaats, the president of The Family Leader, which hosted the summit, dealt the crowd a wild card.”

Many would argue that Vander Plaats knew perfectly well what Carlson’s biggest issues are, and the deepening American involvement in Ukraine is a topic that he is particularly passionate about. The fact that Carlson is arguably the most popular and sought after media figure in the United States today was most likely the biggest factor in his invite to host the event.

It should also be noted that it’s the height of irony for someone at The New York Times to suggest anyone in the United States is a puppet of a Russian dictator considering their former correspondent Walter Duranty served as a mouthpiece for Joseph Stalin while working for The Times.
